I have the series II 1600 wtt amp. Its ok but its only 740 RMS @ 4-ohms mono. Should be good for one sub but its size is a downfall. I have one and I'm looking for a class D. Look into Lightning Audio. I had there 500.2 Strike and it gave out way better power than the SPL.

SPL is not bad though. Good luck!

What happened the three times you had one. Mines doesn't give me any problems at all. Even though I'm looking for a Class D amp, I didn't think my SPL was all that bad.

    spl series II

the amp surges and goes into protect. The basic stability of this amp is minimal to begin with. I is a cheap cheap amp. And as a matter of opinion I do not recommend it to anyone.

Cheap yes it is cheap but there are some b/s type high priced crap out there also. Maybe you were doing something wrong. Like I said I haven't had the problems you experienced. Maybe your installations were all suspect? There are tons of better amps but SPL is not the worst out there.

First off, do not insult my installation skills. I have probably been installing stereos before you heard about it. Second, I paid 120 dollars for a 1600 watt amp. Doesn't that sound a bit shady from the start. The amp is junk, but if you want to buy it go for it. The series III is a little better. Try that if you want to have my support.

If you were installing before I heard of them then you can hook up my pops 8-track. So touchy for someone who is so skilled. Stop being a Bea. I know plenty of people who can install car stereos but that don't make their **** good. No one needs your support on this site. MR. CARAUDIO.

Try to be nice and people get all touchy. Now I know your install was suspect cause you got so defensive.
