    Alpine PDX amps

Anyone here have real world experience stacking PDX amps? I just bought a 4.150 and a 1.1000 and I wanted to know if I stacked them would the heat be an issue. I have a SUV, so they will be vented at all times. Keep the book statements in the book, real world experiences only please.

there was a thread i read on crutchfield saying they do get a lil warm when stacked, but to be expected having 3 stacked, not a majour threat

    google, anyone?

    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=alpine+pdx+heat

the amp doesn't have a heatsink. somehow i doubt stacking them would compound the issue.

i bought this amp from car toys and they tested it and it ran at 1147 rms!! the best alpine mono amp ever at a fraction of the size. this baby won't dissapoint, but truth be told it does get a little hot. nothing serious but a factor for some.... i have three pdx amps in my trunk so that's prolly why they get a lil hot.

theres a review on what i found

lol... lemme rephrase... with as little heatsinking as those amps have, i doubt stacking them could make it worse.

btw... i found a picture of the guts, and it does appear to have some extremely minimal heatsinking
