    What amp for IDmax 12"

I just purchased an Image Dynamics IDMAX 12 in. sub, it will be going into a ported box, and I need to know what kind of amp i should get for the sub, and I don't really want to spend more than 500$.

    IDMAX v2 or v3?

    Actually, I think they are both 1000RMS >> ??

Take look on this page, there are tons and tons of 1000watt amps suggested all the time.

Crossfire, Autotek, Tsunami, Kicker, JBL, Arc, Zapco, HiFonics, Memphis, MTX, Phoenix Gold, etc....

Is it dual 4 ohms or 2ohms....... if its dual 4 ohm get a hifonics hercules 1000 at 2ohms and wire ate 2 ohms...if its dual 2 ohms get a hifonics zuez 1000d 1000 at 1ohm image dynamics can handle 1000 easy and youll need a subsonic filter for the ported encloser the hifonics subsonic filter is nics and so is the bas control..... i think those are the best deal for the price......... another option is the rf1000d it u have the 2 ohmd version rf15000d if u have the 4 ohm version..... the list goes on and on but for price hifonics is fine im running 2 Id maxes in a sealed box(for dayly use) with about 500 watts rms going into both im waithing for my alternator to come to drop down to 1ohm..... trust me youll love that sub

I have the 2 ohm version. A friend of mine has a brand new jbl 1200 that he will sell me for 250. Is there any way I can use the jbl 1200 with my sub, since it will be in a ported box?

Both amps are very nice...and they will both do what they say + a little more.

Guess it comes down to personal preference
