    Does it have any effect on SQ?

    it will have no effect on SQ it is just the level of OHM load (strain) that you place on the amplifer

    When you run something in 2ohm instead of 4 ohm it does affect sound quality . It puts a bigger strain on the amp making the distortion level higher therefore affecting the sound quality. Thats why you see amps that run at 2 ohm are usually for subs, because it is harder to notice distortion in the subs than in your mids and highs.
