    Best 5-Channel Amp(SQ)?

I'm need a very "clean" amp that produces close to the exact wattage its rated if not a lil more. Gona be used in an SQ setup.

    Will be powering:

    1 Comp Set
    1 15" IDQ

I'm wanting to run 1 amp on this setup cause of limited space(Ext cab truck). I've been reading I can run the one channels bridged @ 2 ohm and then run the sub chan @ 2 ohm which is what I need. Let me know your opinions.

    Re: Best 5-Channel Amp(SQ)?

Sounds like a job for the Memphis Belle. And JL, Soundstream, Helix, and DLS all make 5 channels that will put out some power.

The Fox audiomobile now sounds more quality thanks to SDS power.

The most expensive solution is the one that doesn't do the job correctly. ~ Me

    Re: Best 5-Channel Amp(SQ)?

Well I found a few that put out decent sub power(300 watt range which is what I need).

I've looked at Kicker and PPI so far. Will look into rest now though.

Directed has one too with pretty good specks. I don't think you could go wrong with any of the ones mentioned so far. There are a couple of versions of the Memphis. The newer one has a much stronger sub channel if I am not mistaken.

the memphis 75x4+600x1 will be awesome for you.

and btw, the IDQ15 wants more than 300w. they want more like 500~600 tbh

The JL is a nice amp though pricy.... anything by PPI in the PC/PCX range sound awesome too.

    Re: Best 5-Channel Amp(SQ)?

Unless he gets a PPI Pro 650 he doesn't need a PC amp. Not enough on the sub channels for that sub. The standard PC 650 will only give him 200 watts on the sub. The Pro PC 650 will do 400. The new DCX PPI 5 channel amps are clones of the PRO 650 (AX 606 ART series) amps which provide more power on the sub channel.

    Re: Best 5-Channel Amp(SQ)?

Well I was thinking of the PCX 5800 which does 400x1 @2 ohm on the sub ch.

    Re: Best 5-Channel Amp(SQ)?

yeah that would work. Same as the PRO PC 60 and the others. But the Standard PC 650 is not the same. I just wanted to point that out so he wouldn't end up buying something that wasn't what he thought.

    Re: Best 5-Channel Amp(SQ)?

So will the memphis have enough on the sub channel or should I keep looking?

I'll look into the PRO PC 60 right now.

    Re: Best 5-Channel Amp(SQ)?

MEMPHIS BELLE 16-MC1300D. That was the memphis amp. Its a nice amp but as REQ said I don't think it'll be enough on the sub side.

    Re: Best 5-Channel Amp(SQ)?

    PRECISION POWER DCX800.5 does 200W RMS x 2@ 4 ohm + 400W x 1 for sub-channel @2ohms.

    Would that be alright?
