I was just wondering since I dont get my subs until next week if I could just set the gains on the amp without them. I think I could since you need to disconnect them either way when your setting the gain on the amplifier. Correct me if im wrong.

Of Course you can! I do it. and i find it more safe to set gains with both speaker wires disconnected from the amp.![]()

The only thing you can't determine without subs is the actual impedance in-box.

gains should always be set without the speaker cables plugged, just to be careful.

I did but dont understand how can i determine the voltage i have to look on the amp.

Sqrt(Power*Resistance) = Voltage
power=rms
resistance= ohm level of speakers
