    need amp suggestion

I want an amp to power 1 HCCA 12D it is a DVC 2 ohm coils. right now i have it powered with a PPI 2600 whicch is 600x 1 @ 4 ohms mono and it looks like the sub can take alot more power. I talked to Dan Hanisch @ orion and ppi tech and he said that sub can take 1200 watts RMS. I need and amp at least 1000 watts but i need it for the price range off around $300. I was looking @ the JBL but that doesnt have a subsonic filter and my box is ported so i dont want to mess up my sub. any sugggestions are greatly appreciated and if you can also tell me where can I get a subsonic filter in case i go with the JBL 1200.
Oh by the way I have no freaking idea whata subsonic filter is but they told me that i need one since I have a ported box is this correct
    thanks
    rick

Ultimate Digitalis 1200/1300 or the Lanzar Vibe 1200D would be worth looking into.

Ultimate has many happy customers when it comes to their amps. The Digitalis series especially. You can also try www.thezeb.com . I think they even have a link to a Car Sound review there.
