    2ohms on a 4ohm amp

    yea i was wonderin if runnin my amp at 2 ohms when its only 4ohm stable would fry my amp....when it gets too loud the amp shuts off....so i have 2 ?'s....will it hurt my sub at all runnin it like this and the second is will it hurt the amp as long as i keep it to where it doesnt shut off????

    not a good idea----i could hurt your sub if it puts out to much power----it could hurt your amp if it takes in to much power--- just don't do it

    what kind of amp is it? i've never heard of an amp that isn't stable to 2 ohms.
