What is this for? If I read the manual right I can connect a second amp to the line output on the first and use the signal. Is this right? It doesn't seem like anybody does this. Why?![]()

I live my life a 1/4 mile at a time....
I look better naked than most people look in clothes!
Not everybody is using amps with proper/accurate crossover settings. I prefer to have the ability to independently adjust my subwoofer levels from my HU without having to install a bass knob or any other amp specific device and also having crossover controls and levels within my arms length.Originally Posted by Deamonicus
Only advantage I can think of is easier/cheaper/cleaner install with one pair of wires running to the back and possibility for less noise with one set of signal cables running back.
Yes, that is what it's for.
As eFertLIS mentioned; most people don't use it because it doesn't allow independent control such as fading, use of things like dedicated subwoofer preouts on the deck, etc etc. Much more flexibility is available by making use of the HU's RCA outputs.
