What is fuse rating? I've seen 2 different ratings
manual says 120
Juss bought a vfl 4480.1d and I must say I am very impressed!
Think I should sell my phantom 4000 for this amp??
That's some sick power for the size of the footprint! :awesome: What do these do @4 or 2 ohms? can't find specs on these other than @ 1 ohm rating...
Jim, How does this amp compare to the saz1500v3? And how does it produce 2k+ on 120a fusing when so many would say that is not enough, or should be atleast 200+a to make that kind of powah? Just curious. And yes, i know it says don't ask questions.
I've got one of these guys headed my way monday! Its smaller than my RF Punch 1000bd and looks to put it to shame! Can't wait!!
So I figure I would just add to this. I got my DSO Nano today. I was skeptical at the RMS rating on the 4480 since it is so small. For anyone wondering without a load and a 50 hertz tone I get 50volts clean power. I then hooked my XFL up and repeated setting the gains until it clipped and turned it down till I saw a clean signal. I then got 46.5 volts. At 1ohm that is roughly 2162 watts of clean power. I have a stock alt and stock batt in my car. Although I do have a 175 amp alt. My DC XL 12 will be here this coming week. I should be able to use the 4480 to its full potential.
very nice bill
what's size power and ground is everyone using? Or which should I use?
0 gauge, nothing less.
