    FS MTX 81000d modded and 4244 4channel

    Item(s) for Sale:
I have a mtx 81000d and a matching mtx four channel 4244 all in great working order

    Item(s) Description/Condition:
81000d's are modded so the will run on 1 ohm and will put out around 2000rms. Cosmetically it is 7/10 looks very well for its age. The mtx 4434 works great and puts out around 50 rms per channel and is 8/10 on looks atleast. I'm selling because of a deal i found but i would trade for nice 3500 watt amp at 1 ohm. Sorry the date on the pic is a little off I took them a couple weeks ago.

    Price:
    225 for the 81000d
    80 for 4244

    Shipping and Miscellaneous Item Information:
    U pay

They were modded when I bought them and was told it was professionally done all that is done is one of the chips is removed. This makes it so they can run at 1 ohm. When I bought them I made sure that chip was removed and tested them at 1 ohm to make sure they work properly

Re: FS 2 MTX 81000d's and matching 4 channel

Some saved pm's i've had for 8 years. lol

Modding it is pretty easy if you're familiar with removing circuits with a soldering iron. You have to remove resistor Q240 from the board and release the compression circuit. .
The dont do it from the factory because the chip you remove is the part of the protection circuitry that shuts the amp down if it see's a load below 2 ohms (ie dead short) so when modded you have to be careful not to touch the speaker leads together while the amp is on, or you will short it out. And yes the mod will allow up to 18.5 dc volts and down as low as you feel comfortable on impedance... I wouldnt suggest any lower than .5 for daily.
q 240 is located in the south west quadrant of the amp... you have to be careful to not remove d240 that is right beside it. Also, the compression circuit is a little white button next to the rca end of the amp. It needs to be pushed in the "out" position.
    Good luck,
    Scottie
I ran mine modded for some time @ .67. It was a powerhouse!

This setup right here will get nasty.

I would partial trade a Powerbass XA4000D for these. We could work out the cash on top of that if you like?

I need 1 ohm final and these do 1 ohm each and 2 strapped. Also just wanting 1 amp was hoping sundown to match my highs amp. But any 3500 plus will work
