Well ive actually never clamped them but ive run them at .5 and I know they don't get warm with good electrical. People have run them much lower and they are known as "Bulletproof" amplifiers. As far as what people say id guess they would do an actual 2200+ watts at .5 nominal if your over 14 volts but really its install dependent.
