the dd is rated at a lower voltage than the aq. Its rated in the 10 or 11 volt range. The more volts u feed it, it starts turning green and becpomes beadst
help me make up my mind guys. should i go with a dd m4 or a cendo 5500? i have 2 aq hdc4 18s right now running at 1 ohm and im looking for more power than this to get them movin. i have 3 xs d3400s and a mechman 270a alt. im not really looking to by more batts or another alt right now. if i had to do anything electrical it would be buying another batt, max. what would be the best amp to get?
I think the DD is the better choice for your situation. Ive never owned dd or crecendo. I know both are steller companies and really bad azz amps. B ut the DD is super effeciant and makes its ragted power in the lower voltage ranges. The nendo makes its power a little bit higher in the voltage ranges. Both are excellent amps, but i think the dd will make more power for you. Even if your voltage drops to low 13s or high 12s , the dd is still gonna be making rated power. i dont knbow that the nendo will make the rated power in those ranges
my 3500 here does 4300@1 ohm at 14.4v the dd is 3200@1 ohm at like 12v i think. would there be much dif? this is the m4, not the m4a im looking at.
If volts are not an issue then by all means go with the 5500. Its the more powerful amp at 14.4 volts. But if you feel like your gonna be dropping into the 11s or 12s, i would go with the DD, as the 5500 at 11or 12volts will be off by a few hundred up to 1000watts that low.
The DD M4 SHOULD do alot more at 14.4 volts than what its rated at 12v. Prolly expect 500-1000 more watts with 2.5 more volts running the DD. If its rated at 3200 at low 12s, then at 14.4 it should do around 4200-4500 i would suspect
Bro, stick with what you have. There wouldn't be a big noticable difference. Plus it's just not worth the trouble.
its VOLTAGE. amps do power at a certain VOLTAGE. not at a specific volts.
Crunch gp3000 ftw
Buy the crescendo new for 980 i know i am everyone wants 800 plus used and thats ridiculous imo
