143.3 at the headrest in S2
At 38hz. Not bad for 2 DC level 4 12s on a ZX2500. It was really cold to and every was down a db from the last show. This one was at sea level and the last was in the hills. 122.3 in park and pound in DB3. Everybody was impressed when the song dropped.
We found out it is pretty consistant to gain 2 db in PaP when you open a sunroof. No matter the car. Im looking for a 2 db gain when I switch out to a SAZ-3500 and XLs, that should help me compete with the 15s in S3 and still stay musical. I know I could hit much higher if I tuned in the low 40s but its not worth it to me.
Re: 143.3 at the headrest in S2
i would put more power on 2 xls. they will take some power daily no problem. 5k will make them work, 7.5k will make them shine :fyi:
Re: 143.3 at the headrest in S2
I cant do any more elecrical. Its maxed out until I decide to lose the back seat. But I know they can, they still get down good on 3.5 though
Re: 143.3 at the headrest in S2

yeah they'll definitely be louder than what you have. but if only you could fit more batts or a bigger alt then more power would get you louder

Ya I know. The biggest al they make for my ride is 270. I got a rated 220 now. And I have no more room for batts. If I lose the back seats Ill go 2 18s off the same power.

You can definitely get more out of that setup with a new box.
Whats the vehicle? Any pics of the install?

Scion tc.. ill get pics but the box is around 4.75 with areos tuned to 30hz. The meter is just for fun, I wanted a low street beat.

I assumed as much. Saw some vids of your install.
If you want to get louder I can point out some easy changes. Switching out to 2 6" aeros would be the first move.

Im uploading some pics now.. They are 4 inch openings and 6 at the flares. I guess you mean 6 opening and 8 inch flares? What would that do? Also they are 16 inches flare to flare.

Yes, 6" internal diameter.
More port area=more airflow=higher SPL. As long as the tuning is correct.
Two 4" ports for 2 12's is very minimal port area. I run a single 6" port on my single 12" box in my daily driver.
