I just got scammed out of $800 by Hybrid on another forum, www.powerbookcentral.com where he used the name Hyybrid89crxsi . He was supposed to send me a laptop that he was selling because he was having "financial problems" (sound familiar?) after I paid him half the money through paypal. (This happened on October 31, 2005) The deal was that he would ship it out with a tracking number. Well surprise surprise, the tracking number he gave me the next day didn't work and hasn't worked for 3 weeks. He claims it's a problem with the post office. I emailed USPS, called them, and they have no record of that tracking number at all. (EC 906 409 005 US)
Anyways, after 3 weeks of waiting, I filed a claim with Paypal when he didn't want to refund me. I'm not optimistic that I'll get my money back but really wish I knew about this scammer before I sent him the money.

Wow... 25 pages of the longest sob, feel sorry, I DONT PAY ANYONE FOR 6 months when I say I will pay you the same day I recieve your merchandise liar. For everyone who said he deserves props. Why? Has everyone receieved their money? How much longer after the "deal" was made? When you say your going to pay for something on a certain day, PAY UP. Dont be making deals, trying to buy things, when you still have debts. Doesnt that make a little more sense? This seems like a drug addict except with car audio... Do they have rehab for this?
