Buyer/Trader Beware of ProjectPechkin!!!

Traded ProjectPechkin 2 JL Audio 8w0 for 2 Apex Jr's. He mentioned that one of them had a tinsel slap that I would need to fix, which was no problem for me. After we traded (he is local) I went home and hooked up my DMM to ensure correct resistence. My DMM read open coils, but I blew it off as I was using a cheap Harbor Freight DMM. I finally got a chance to hook an amplifier up in my car and build the box to house the Apex Jr's. Hooked everything up and the speakers weren't moving. I unhooked the speaker wire from the amp and tested another speaker I had laying around and it worked as it should. I then took the Apex Jr's out pushed the cone down to check for coil rub and what do ya know, SEVERE coil rub! One of the speakers doesn't work at all and the other just rubs the coil along the woofer.

I quickly contacted ProjectPechkin to make things right and he agreed to meet up at 8am this morning and he would pay me for the JL's and asked for the Apex Jr's back. I called and text ProjectPechkin multiple times last night to make sure we were still meeting up today, as it is about a 45 min drive, but to no avail. I woke up this morning and again called and text multiple times, but to no avail. My last text to him was at 10am this morning stating I would go public with the transaction if I hadn't heard from him by noon. It is now noon and ProjectPechkin is no where to be found.

Jensen, make this right! I gave you speakers exactly as promised and you gave me paperweights. I really doubt you want to see me at car shows without making this right. :verymad:

dude, its been less than a day. slow your roll. hopefully he will make things right, but ****, you havent given him a chance. maybe something happened to him.

*****, I've dealt with both of you in good deals, hopefully he gets back to you and makes it right. I'd be pissed if I had an appt setup to meet 45 mins away and it didn't happen.

I think you should have inspected them before you left.I mean a quick check of the coil condition and pushing on the cone is the least I would have done.But then I always carry a DMM and am suspicous of everyone.
