hate to do this because he seems like a really nice guy and all, and he apparently was just sicker than a dog and in this hospital. i paid him something like 1150-1170 for a computer in mid january and asked him to hold it until feb 15th because i was moving and would be at a new address (didnt want the new toy around while i had **** to get taken care of, plus itd just be one more thing to move)

he said cool, he needed the time to buy himself a laptop anyway, everything seems cool until about the 20th of feb and im like wheres my computer. after pm's back and forth, him telling me several times it had shipped and he would get me the tracking number but never sending it, it finally went out 3 days ago. well i got it today, and everything is cool EXCEPT rather than the sapphire ati x800 pro video card that was stated was in it (250 dollar video card, plus something like 40 bucks for the stated zalman cooler) theres a gigabyte x1300 pro (70 dollar video card). at first, i thought maybe he just didnt know what the difference was, but upon closer inspection i find a sapphire sticker on the top of the case, and find (uninstalled) x800 pro drivers on the hard drive (which had not been properly formated as promised, and had a fresh, although unactivated with no key # copy of windows)

thats just ****ing shady. you knew i bought the computer for gaming. did you honestly think i wouldnt know the difference between an x1300 and a 800? you insult my intelligence, and outright **** me off after taking so long with the shipping, which i was prepared to let go without a negative feedback thread. to make this right, you either need to refund me about 150 dollars, which you should be doing anyway for the delay on the shipping, or you need to send me the video card that i bought.

it wasnt a laptop, was a pc. i figured with all of dudes references, and as nice as he seemed, it wouldnt be a problem.

hassle him for a refund or the card, and when and if he gives it to you he should be banned (like every other scamming @ssshole on this forum) for life.

^you have the wrong attitude, when a well known forum member scams another forum member and you think "thats what you get / your fault", you are forgetting it could have been you, and if this behavuior is allowed to continue, it could be you next week.

scammers need to be dealt with quikly and cleanly.

and permanently, in some countries, when a person steals, and they get caught,

they have their hands chopped off.

not necessarily thievery, he did send 8/10 of what i paid for, its just dishonest and a **** move to think he could make a couple hundred extra bucks by sticking his old card in here and selling the nice one to someone else.

he was so sick he was deririous and didnt realize he was taking an expensive card out, putting a cheap one in, and reselling the good one? thats sicker than i've ever been.

you agreed to and paid for what he advertised, he gave you something cheaper = theif,liar,scammer.

if it was me, i would not have the computer knowledge to understand why my games were not running properly. its only because you got the pc smarts that you got him

I fully agree the scammers should be taken care of.

But if your gonna spend that kind of money, your better off buying it through a trusted company where there will be no worries and you know for sure your getting what you paid for. Paying that much to a guy you never met off a forum for a used pc, you know the risk, in that sense yea its a shame he scammed you, but thats what you get for buying used pc on a forum that you cant even test out. I feel bad for him that he may have gotten scammed, i know what its like, its not fun. But buying a used pc off a forum is something i wouldnt do knowing the risks.

im not a scammer 1st off. i was supposed to make a trade for an 800 for my old card, i sent a user on this forum my card actually and he was supposed to send me his 800. he got my 1950 pro and found out he couldnt use it and i forgot all about the fact that i put the 1300 in the computer. its my fault and im making it right, please hold the shady/ scammer talk until i had a chance to respond. i am making this right and sent 1meangta a pm already to get this resolved in the fastest way possible.
