You'll wanna use a copper or rubber deadbow mallet, a regular seel hammer might crack or chip the mag... Just feel the mags if there is one out of rund they could have shifted, this happened to me on some JL w6's I bought, they got dropped in shipping and the mag slipped, freezing the coil.

im not sure if i would do that until i talk to usps.

hmmm this looks like the same thing that happened to my brahma. the magnet got knocked off center durring shipping and ground one side of the coil to bits, causing it to short out.

Would that cause the high readings on the coils?

It's probably cheaper/easier to not try to settle it through them, they are a govt agency and they take a ****ing long time to process their insurance claims. I was gonna make a claim on the JL and they said something like 6 weeks and I was like screw that....

Do you have pics of any possible magnet misalignment? Eliminate possibilities that you can fix on your own real quick... Because a recone from RE probably takes a helluva lot longer than 6 weeks and all you might get from the post office is the money and they might keep the sub as evidence, if I'm not mistaken... I never went that far.

whoa!!...thats definitely a problem...there is no way that box wasnt thrown around.
