also the marks on the megnet and such, If it was in a box/crate the only way i could see those happening like that is if there was a piece of steel in there rattling around.

Actually takes a pretty good hit to start breaking apart a magenet as such.

Ya there was no damage to the box/crate and the sub was in there very tight so no way it moved around during shipping.

What are the coils actually reading? I didnt find the info in the 2 mins glancing through the thread.

Neither the magnet or the scratches are going to effect anything. I understand that you wanted and expected it clean and un marked, but shipping can cause that, perfect box and all

I have seen magnets shift with perfect outer cartons and crates, it just happens. Instead of *****ing to king about this. Help him get with usps and get some money back. As far as the coils...if they are infact blown king needs to help you get the recone done...

one was in the 2 range and the other was 6-8 i forget also.

Well just got back for the local shop and boy am i pissed.

Measured the coils with his DMM and one jumps between 1.9-2.4 the other reads 5-6ohms!!

Does the user know how to use a DMM...an MT coild is difficult to blow under normal circumstances. Could have been dropped and damaged the coil.

At this point I would either
1)tell him I want a full refund and ship him the MT back. If you paid with paypal Id file a claim if he denys you the refund.

2)tell him you will ship it to RE for a recone and he needs to pay for it.

3)check the coil one last time, get with king to file a claim against USPS. If he was smart and insured it for enough, you both will be OK...You will have your money back and king wont have to pay you out of pocket seeing that he is currently unemployed.

1) paided with money order. I will ask for a refund but he will have to send me the money before I ship him his sub.

2) Dont think RE will ship recones to canada could be wrong there.

3) I have checked the coils about 10 times and still read the same.
I would work with him on usps but dont know what I can do cause it does not look like the damage was caused by shipping and wouldn't that be fraud?



I sent him a pm asking for a refund or pay for all the cost on the recone.
I will keep you guys updated on what he says.

Only option for a MO is to take it to the authorities or the post office, depending on which type was used.

No RE in canada(direct recone)...what does that mean? He cant get a recone? Call them, I bet he could work something out.

King and poverty....that is BS, he may be broke, but its not the buyer fault that he is and the **** is not as described.

Insured...call them...just cause the box wasnt damaged doesnt mean that it wasnt dropped. You can still file the claim. Call them.
