That is correct,I got my imac with a cracked case, The fellow at the ups store asked me what it was insured for, Told him $300 he said it was my decision but if i wanted to keep my imac to see if i coudl get it fixed for 1/3 to 1/2 of the actual insured rate of it.
he said if I wanted the full amount they would take the item,then a cheque would be in the mail for the full amount. I gave them a written estimate of what it would cost to fixed with used parts,2 weeks later I got an email from the ups store it was shipped from saying they recieved my cheque and that it was sent to me and I should recieve it within 5 business days,if 14 days went by to call them back. Got it in 3 days

But Props to you Tee for the way you have handled this. Should have been PM, but you have done everything that you can extremely fast and have taken ownership over the UPS f'up. Get a good reference alone just for that.
