The guy registered a new account using the name 'aesoi' to make it look like my name....and with the underline under the name, it DOES look the same, lol. Sht, I had to do a doubletake myself when I first saw it. Anyway, thanks for banning that account, DB.

Oh, and I did file a Paypal claim already -two days after I sent him my payment (when I caught him selling the same laptop on ebay that I had already paid him for). I'm just waiting for Paypal to tell me that they ruled in my favor but that he doesn't have any money in his account to cover the amount. Once I get that email from Paypal, I'll simply call up my cc company and do a chargeback -and I'll be out nothing. Unfortunately, 'sonic purity' used a debit card so it was just like paying with his bank account. Paypal already ruled in his favor but they weren't able to recover anything.

The thing about debit cards is that they're tied directly into your bank account. When you charge something with one, the money is instantly yanked from your bank account. When you do a chargeback on a debit card, you're essentially fighting to get your OWN money back. If the seller doesn't have any money to cover the chargeback, it's really hard to get it back -unless you have a bank with GREAT service. When you use an actual credit card though, it is the credit card company's money that you're (initially) using for the purchase. If you don't get what you paid for (and initiate a chargeback), the credit card company will simply credit the amount back onto your account until they gather the facts. Once they see that you did infact get scammed, they will simply pass the loss onto Paypal -by not paying them.

do y'all have is address from shipping him stuff? you could turn his life into a living hell. remember that scammer who got pwnt on some other forum? they made fake craigslist ads, ordered him pizza, had a recruiter go by his house, gay **** sent there... the works. I hear they somehow got him to lose his job.

I normally wouldn't say to do that, but those pics just make my blood boil.
