    best audio format?

okay well i have a pioneer fh800b hu and its pretty beast and is sopost to be in the uppertier of sq headunits. anyway im getting a kinda distorted sound out of my speakers. they are JBL GTO series 6 1/2's and 6x9's. i played with the EQ and idk i just cant get it right. maybe my audio format is a problem?

328k in wma is what im using now is mp3 better?

    Re: best audio format?

Don't think so...I mean, it would probably be marginally better. Best audio format for sq is a lossless one, like .flac . I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong on this.

    Re: best audio format?

Now that I re-read your post...I don't think it's your format. Give us some specs...How much power are you running to the speakers? What kind of amps? You might be clipping your signal, thus causing distortion. All things to look at.

    Re: best audio format?

And this would probably work better in the general section, instead of the lounge...

    Actually, no.
    MIDI are good...

But .FLAC is the best quality... seeing how it emulates the CD as a file.

    .flac compressed, lossless
    .wav uncompressed

Don't convert, just rip your cd's properly using flac
