computer help needed..

For the past 3 days, my laptop has been running super slow. The CPU usage is constantly at or over %90. Ive scanned my entire computer at least 10 times for viruses/spyware with Norton and Spysweeper, but nothing has came up. Its gotten to the point where its not tolerable. Anyone have any suggestions on what could be wrong or how I could go about resolving the problem? Im trying here, and if it still dosent fix it...Im gonna be forced just to take it into geeksquad or some shit like that.

have you tried hitting ctrl alt delte looking at your applications and seeing which one is taking up all the room???

usually when that happens on the cpus that I have it is one i download music on and it is usually limewire or something of the sort

Yea, I forgot to mention that part, thats whats confusing. When I open it up, theres no program really taking a huge amount. Ill open it with firefox as my only program opened, and it will be taking up the memory it did before it started acting this way. So when I look at the processes, theres nothing out of the norm.

alt ctrl del.... under process... look at the CPU column and see whats running.
