is it ok to hook up a set of component speakers to one crossover.

or can i jus hook up both the tweeter and woofer to the hu w/out the crossover?

    what CD player?

typically a componet set has 2 mids, 2 tweets, and 2 crossovers.

Either way will sound like crap, and probably fry the crossover or the HU, or both. Don't do it.

if you are talking about hooking both tweeters and both woofers up to one crossover NO. The impedance would be halved. The crossover points would then all shift and the tweeters would be ruined and the whole thing will sound like doodie.

Where you use powered crossovers that you manually (actively) set crossover points rather than a passive crossover where the points are already set.
