HELP ME with Pioneer headunit! *Pics included + sub pr0n*

To make a long story short, I bought a pioneer deh-p44 off of ebay about 3 weeks ago for $100 shipped. When it arrived I thought to myself, "hmm, seems like somethings missing..". Then I quickly noticed that it was my wiring harness. "Shat on me", I thought, then I called up the seller that I bought the headunit off of and they sent me out another wiring harness. After waiting for it for ONE WEEK (teh geyness), the fedex man finally came with my little goody.

Excitedly I opened it and fitted it up to the headunit. Then I figured out that it was THE WRONG ONE. I called them up again and told them what was going on and they sent out another today.

I am sick of waiting, so I just decided that I would remove the connectors from the wiring harness that they gave me and just figure out which ones go where and make my own harness while I was waiting for the new one to arrive. (You have to understand that there is a 15" avalanche waiting on this headunit too, so theres no way I can wait another week.)

Heres the little connectors, removed from the incorrect harness.

I was thinking I could do something like this, except with all of them, then insulate the middle between all the connectors with shrink wrap and hot glue gun:

I need for someone with any of these headunits to provide pictures of their wiring harness so that I could see where the various connectors connect to the back of the HU:

    DEH-120
    DEH-12

    DEH-P6400
    DEH-P640
    DEH-P7400MP
    DEH-P740MP
    DEH-P74MP

    Im counting on you guys!

As a reward for reading this, heres your pr0n!

Avalanche 15" compaired to crappy logitech 8" extracted from my Z-560 4.1 system

Look at the little 8" go, lol!

Just think, you have the power to give this poor headunit and sub a home...

I would go to circuit city or one of those places and they usually sell a adapter that will go from the pioneer to your stock harness. if you dont want to hookup to the stock harness then just cut off the end and wire it up.

While I can't answer your question directly, I did just go thru something similiar after buying a headunit off someone on this board. I couldn't find the harness he said he shipped so I went right to pioneer & for 12 bucks + shipping I had the correct harness in less than a week.

    Pretty impressed by Pioneers service.

Yeah, but by then I will most likely have the replacement harness from the company I bought my headunit from (if its the right one this time ). If someone has one of the units that I listed above just sitting around, then it would be real easy for someone to snap a quick picture for me of the harness. That way I could make a harness for myself, and then no waiting.

I am probably going to check out circit city tomorrow, but they may not have it since it isnt a 04-05 model.

    WOOT!!

I just came back from my local circut city. The guys there happened to have the exact OEM wiring harness for my headunit laying around in their "parts box", so I picked it up for $15.00. Now time for the install...
