well I feel imprint will help a lot with the lack of eq features. Also most of us will be using this deck to listen to mp3, that really doesn't have the best SQ to began with.

Why do you feel you need high pre-out volts?

That's where the pxa-h100 comes into play, I was just reading the manual for the HU and it explains what you can do with the h100. It has some decent EQ abilities & you can even go ACTIVE if you wish. Oh and it does bump the preouts to 4v.

to anyone that has tried this at CES, I need to know 2 things before I really start to get interested in these cool looking HU.
    1. WHen searching songs is it faster and more resonsive than pioneer's IB-100II??
    2. Can it be run active?

    1. It's way faster than pioneers connection with the Ib100II, I used it with my 980bt and it's painfully slow. Alpine is the way to go for ipod connection.

    2. It can go active with the optional pxa-h100 which retails for around $150

Interesting. Thanks. It wasn't in the brochure I got from the show. Also of interest is only the x100 has a burr brown. The other has a integrated DSP.

I guess the X100 is the way to go. The screen is sooooo much better than the x200 also.

Hmmm...2v is fine because I would probably use an in dash eq like an AudioControl but I just don't understand why there are no CD capabilities. Is the h/u just a big empty box? Honestly, if it only controls an ipod and has 2v outputs why not run the output of your ipod directly to a line driver or an eq? The ipod already has a click wheel and a nice screen.

That's what I was going to do at first, just run a mp3 to a sound processor. But after thinking about it, I knew I wasn't going to like the wire from the mp3 player to the sound processor then having to mount the mp3 player. I thought about just using a blue-tooth mp3 player and then getting a blue-tooth receiver and hook that up to the sound processor.

But this HU will make every thing simple, just plug the ipod to the HU and stash the ipod.

FYI, my local dealer has the x200 & x300 already, they said they got them about a week and a half ago. So I am hoping the x100 is right around the corner.

Anyone found a release date for the PXA-H100? Seems the x100 is push back to march so I guess this will be pushed back a month also.

I just tried the referral code and it wouldn't take. That would be awesome. I'm trying to get the best price on one of these.

I thought it was March for the pxa, but who knows it might be April till it's available.

There are a few sellers on ebay from the us that are selling the ida-x100, I am pretty sure some dealers have it already. I am waiting patiently for my dealer to call me and say "come pick up your hu, it just came in"
