ESN on eclipse cd8445 and memory card?

how do i go about setting up the ESN thing on my cd8445? i cant seem to find my manual right now and its pissing me off lol...

also, who uses the memory card slot? i want to get a card for mine, wheres the best buy for those?

edit: also does anyone have the gps unit with their's? if so is it worth it?

if you dont have a sec cd setup already, i think you just hold down function and 6 at the same time, then it will direct you to insert a cd. then that becomes the security cd. but call a dealer to double check.

I wouldnt do the ESN on the memory card. Its easy to have a problem with the card and then it doesnt work and before you know it you reformat and lose the ESN. I have owned 4 Eclipse decks and only did the ESN 2 times. I figure if someone knows the decks and wants to steal it, they wont, if they dont know the deck it wont matter the will steal it. Never had a problem using a disk that I wouldnt ever listen , used my wife and when I went to sell it it always set it back to normal.

You'll need a memory card reader, on your PC, then just copy the files to it. Then insert the memory card in the unit, play songs.

^^ How? I've tried copying songs from my computer to my memory card and I couldn't make it work.
