    Clifford Intelliguard 750

Anyone here installed a alarm before? I have a Clifford Intelliguard 750. I took it out of my Ford probe years a go, and now I want to install it in my Durango before I install my subs. I was just quoted from car toys 300 bucks to reinstall it. I about   my pants once I heard that. They also side they had too install resistencers and relays because of the keyless entry. I found this on through 12volt.com. http://www.millionbuy.com/dei456lw.html Its a DIRECTED 456LW Universal Door Lock Interface Module. Will this work for what there talking about?

Oh any info would be great too. I'm thinking of doing it myself.

Oh this is a great place to find infor http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/...e/Durango.html

I also found this place too for parts. http://www.amdistributors.com/CATALO...%20Catalog.pdf

Also if someone out there can help by sending me a Link or a PDF file how to install my alarm.

    Thanks, Brian

    Re: Clifford Intelliguard 750

I found the Installation guide off of 12volt.com. I have a remote coming to my house. All I need no is a siren and a LED.

I called where I had it installed they wanted 200 with tax for the installed, siren and LED. Is that a good price?

Oh thanks for the help man.

No problem at all. $200 is a little bit high imo, but it all depends on the shop - remember a shop will usually warranty their work for the life of the vehicle. The install really isn't too bad, though, and if you feel comfortable splicing into your factory wiring and wanna save some cash I say go for it yourself.

They will warranty their work as long as I have the vehicle. Well I have been reading the guide and it looks like I can install also a Intellistart too for remote start and use the 750 remote. Will this work?

    Re: Clifford Intelliguard 750

lol. as far as the install goes a multimeter, a pair of sidestrippers, good electrical tape, and a soldering iron are all you really need + whatever you need to take your dash apart

So install should take someone who hasn't done this pretty much all day?

ummm probably lol. as long as you test your wires and make solid connections, you'll be golden. there aren't THAT many wires to hook up. in fact, most will probably be cut (if they're not already).

Somethings in the guide are a little confusing. You wouldn't mind if you helped me on some of them, so I can try to figure them out?

Give me some time to read this guide. So I can somewhat understand what wire goes where. I need to find out what power door lock I have.

a lot of chryslers/dodges have one wire resistance based locks. You can either buy that that module you had listed above, or use 2 relays and the appropriate resistors.

hit me up on the s/n t2izzo with any questions you got.
