carpenter's wood glue where the pieces of wood meet and that is white silicone caulking that you see in the pics

Great start kid should be a great build an sound good too. Good thing your dad is there to help lol my dad was anti car audio always told me it was a waste of money. But he loved me the same.

That doesn't seem like enough port area...you might get some noise

Yeah but that recommendation is for one sub...you have two. So that enclosure should be 1.3 cubes in each chamber (2.6 total)
