jake...i cant tell from any pics but do you have a divider in between the subs? and also do you plan on trying different angles besides 45s? and different size angles as well? also have you taped up the subs and counter sunk them? mall possible gains. all of them have gained me in the past

also taping up the sides of the 45s may help. and different size pvc. i saw a gain from 1.5 to 2in pvc. i think adding the pvc to my box got me almost a full db. and its not even screwed down.

Sorry to see the PVC on the outside didn't gain.Maybe trying larger pieces that have a bigger circumferance won't cause such a lip.Or like was said before cut them in half then cut some off that and so on to lessen the amount of roll.

Nah - my subs are in great shape

The coils I'm using actually have me at 0.45 DCR so my 3000s have more power in them with different coils with a lower DCR.

I have a brace with a hole in it between the subs - I was going to try covering the hole later to see what happens.

I will be making the 45s into arcs to test vs. 45s like so :

Taping subs vs. gaskets has always given me exactly the same score unless I am blowing the gaskets out from under the subs - which I am not in this box as the holes are very tight. If I don't use either tape or a gasket I have always seen a loss.

Have not tried counter-sinking them yet.

I may try it again later with different sizes and rolls.

Kinda like that - it has a circle hole in it with rounded over edges

I can cover the hole and the divider would be alot like yours.

    Re: Box Modification SPL Gains

Yep, DJ is correct - I am use 8 awg to the subs and then 8 awg to the amps (four conductors total by dB Drag Rules).
