There u go bro it will come out 64.8 across the bridge so 32.4 for each will do & I dont have the birthsheet I suppose it will be 1050 rms (hopefully) I sure thank u Jmac for da tips .....

cool that will work for me and also just one more thing 50hz. test tone and for how long should I make this tone ? to burn on cd..and volume set at ? with all bass boost off and eq's off also , my deck is a pioneer deh-p3500 with sub control ...
Ok... Here is my deal...
I have one (1) 12" Kicker 05CVR124 Dual 4 ohms Voice Coil. It is rated at 400 rms.
I am working on a deal to get a Hifonics BX1000D (while it is more power than I truly need now, it will be perfect in the future if I decide to get another sub).
Now the Hifonics BX1000D is rated at 700 rms x 1 at 2 ohms. This is too much power for my 400 rms sub. Right?
Now, using a multimeter to set the amp, is it possible to restrict the output of the BX1000D enough to be able to use it with my sub? If so, should I aim for 400 watts exactly, or less, or more, or what?
Thanks.
Just figure what you want it to be with the hu volume up 3/4 of the way. say 400 wrmsX2ohm=800 sq root=28.28.Originally Posted by Harrison486

Ok... I got the same voltage that I woudl want...Originally Posted by SPL140.2
So if I messed with the amp until I got that amount of volts, that means that I would be getting only 400 rms out of the amp right?
And I dont understand this part of your post
"Just figure what you want it to be with the hu volume up 3/4 of the way. "
except at my normal listening volume? Then what do i want at that volumeOriginally Posted by Jmac
Okay. Thanks.Originally Posted by Jmac
And doing that will make it so my sub is only getting 400 rms?
with a 0 dB signal (providing it's still 4 ohms at that frequency) ...
I dont understand that.. but it doesnt really matter...
As long is its the 400 watts that my sub is rated for im good right?
Hey Jmac sup just one simple question ok this afternnon I was trying to adjust my gainson 1051srockford 2 channel amp but I was wondering ??? , should I'de be doing this on amp on LP,AP, OR HP please help since I was doing this on LP and voltage was very low !!! thanks for the inputs ....anything else I need to know using 50hz. for tuning subs....
Dang no wonder I was getting low voltage on dmm, I almost tought it was the mm , but asking from ppl like u you learn the correct way hey Jmac thanks once more man peace ....
Ohh I almost forgot also on cd deck Do I use the subwoofer setting or use full (AP) I believe,,, also I think by using subwoofer it drops to low voltage on gains also ...

i have a MA Audio hk797 amp...its 800w peak...i dunno the rms..i just made it a mono 4-ohm connection to my mtx thunder 8000 (800watts max)...i want to know what voltage i should set it to..or nething to properly fine tune it
say Jmac was up hey on my bass knob do I use it at all? or do I leave it alone...since I adjusted my gains but they are almost to far end or full is this ok ?(don't want to blow my subs u know) ok on my deck I believe rca volts is 2 volts, that might be the issue.... any opinions ..
bass knob use it to full scale ? then adjust gains ----->to 32.4 for each gain
please correct me if I'm very wrong thanks
Jmac do me a favor and look at this thread: Here
And tell me what I should believe...
I thought using a multimeter I would be fine....
ok. You have to know the resistance of your subs and what your amp puts out at that ohm load. But, I have a nine.2 (400x1 @ 4 ohms), which is being run at 2.69 ohms so what should i put in place of 400 since it isnt being run at 4 ohms
