Which amp do you think? AB, Cactus 5k, IA40.1, or D9.

Really? I should have never sold my cactus. I liked the way that amp sounded over every small amp ive ever owned to. And it sure as hell sounded better than my latest amp.

Definitely between the 40.1 and the D9. D9 can get a good warranty, not so much on the 40.1. Neither one would you have to worry much about that, just stating the facts. Cactus is just too rare and probably too pricey, and just another Zenon so i thought. Rab, have you tried the atomic or Rd 5k amp? I did NOT think there was anything different between those 3, i guess i learned something new unless you tell me otherwise.

Ive heard of the cactus's being able to yield a slight more power than the others. But the D9 has bigger guts than the rest. So im not sure. Its def between the D9 and cactus. I only see one cactus for sale right now and he wont pm me back. So im most likely gonna end up with the D9. We will see. ( On a side note im liking the info im hearing on how well the D9s like low impedance's).

I mean, I know personal experience is going to lean everyone that way but if I had my drothers I would go with the Cactus sounds first, followed by the IA and then the D9. The first two because they are monsters of amps. I know I remember seeing people putting the IA20.1 through hell and at crazy impedance loads so obviously the 40.1 will do the same. Cactus is a competition amp, in my book and will do crazy shit like the IA. D9 to me is more daily. So that might be why everyone is leaning towards it for you.

D9 has more caps and thats why it burps louder then the IA. But for daily the IA will last longer

Let me say this. Call up db-r and ask him which amp he would recommend and why. He Repairs them. Why u think I said the 40.1

If cactus is a competition amp. Then to me I dont think it would matter which one of these I use. Cus when i had a cactus 5k a few months back it was the most beat for beat amp that i have owned. That is over both a kicker zx750.1, zx1500.1, Sx1250.1, Mtx 1500(not sure of model), AQ2200, MM4000.1.

i have 5 40.1s. i have ran one of mine at .7 daily for 6 months. flawless. they really come alive below 1 ohm. at .25 ohms they are monsters(for burps)

So im in a debate with myself, i know these amps are closely related. But im hoping somebody can give me some info that will help me decide which to run.

Im gonna be running on 4 15s at .5ohm. Its between an American Bass VFL500.1, Cactus Sounds 5k, Incriminator Audio 40.1, or an RD D9. I have the electrical to back any one of these amps so thats not an issue. Its mainly a daily pounder I play music on a daily basis. And i will be competing from time to time but not more than like 10 times a year.

Help me out guys thanks.

Solder on the AB amps seem to be shit. I will never run them again, and well RD Steve Shady

Incriminator is bullet proof, and I am sure Cactus Sounds is good also.
