I've been doing some reading about them and they do seem to be a great bang for the buck....I'm sitting here thinking I could sell my SAZ1500D and get an amp that puts out twice the power for pretty much what mine would sell for.....HMMM!!!

^ your meter is +/- 3% PLUS 8 counts (or something like that).. it works out to a lot more then 3%...


Your assumption that if you multiply the volts and amps you are reading you will find wattage is wrong.. I'm guessing that you either did not bother looking up power factor on wikipedia like I suggested, or you didn't understand it..

half ohm non bridged it will do. it is a dual mono block which means when bridged it is actually strapping them internally. rated for 2ohm bridged...

my sub is d2. is it possible to run each coil to each side of the a/b of the amp
or is this amp not setup so both parts are ajusted exactly the same ?

you could just wire the sub to 4 ohm and bridge the amp,

would to the same thing.

That's impressive, given that they are relatively cheap (not quality, I mean money wise).

I'm pretty close to getting AP15001d to run @ 1ohm for a pair of AQ SDC2.5 15"s
I'm sure the sdc2.5's will be satisfied with about 750w in 8.5ft^3.

Found the AP15001d for $165. I figure it's a steal considering I want a loud daily driver and I'm on a budget.

It's 2 ap1500's 1 ohm stable in one case so I think your example would work just fine. I seen Terra say earlier about those Salem guys claiming 19,000 volts I doubt you can get that but they did hit a 159.x that night with it.

They had it in an electric truck. And they had the volts way the hell up there on it. So I'm pretty sure it has an unregulated power supply.
