Okay so I have a Skar 800w Amp paired with a skar 1200w 10 inch sub. I also have a lc2i running to the amp. I haven't had many problems with it until recently, I was driving and all of a sudden my sub just cut out, so I pulled over and my amp was in protection mode, I fixed the issue for that (bad ground wire and remote out line was disconnected) and thought it would be fine. I then turn my car back on and started playing music, it was fine until I'd turn it up all the way and it would cut out. I then reset the gains on my amp to see if that would fix it and all it did was make my subs alot quieter. this thing is really pissing me off and if someone could give me some advice or just anything at all that would be much appreciated. (also I would've gone to a pro audio store but there's none nearby)

I believe that the LC2i has a fixed subsonic filter at 33hz, that will affect the low end too. THe LCi2 pro has a set filter at 22 hz, better.

What specific amp and what specific woofer?

I'm using the RP-800w Skar mono block and I have it paired with the SVR-1600w 10 inch sub. I've never had any problems other wires coming loose so I don't think it's the lc2i

If you have a multimeter, check the resistance of the sub (Ohms). Also make sure the fuse by the battery is snug. Refresh the ground connection as well.
the resistance is fine, and the fuse as well. I just replaced the ground connection when I first had the problem with the subs cutting out, it's just not banging like it used to and it's just upsetting

I also just checked the voltage and the voltage on the amp in 12.85 and the rest of my stuff like my lc2i and remote out wire is 12.10. could that be part of the issue?

So you have an 800 watt sub (1600 is a peak spec, ignore it) the SVR-10 - 800 RMS dual 2VC ohm wired in parallel for a 1 ohm load paired with an 800 watt amp. Seems like a decent enough configuration.

I wasn't saying the there is a problem with the LC2i only pointing out that it has a pretty high fixed subsonic filter. The amp has a filter too, turn the amplifiers subsonic filter all the way to the left.

From what you describe, sounds like the amp is may be getting starved so it goes into protect. That would mean that you're dropping quite a bit.

12.8 is about 1V shy of where I would think it should be. How is it wired up? What gauge +/- wire and how long? Is the ground sanded down to bare metal?

Have you pulled the sub out to check that both coils are working at that one of them may be toast?

currently I am using 4g wires for my ground and power (1-1.5ft for ground and like 16ft for my power) and no I did not sand the area for the ground, so that could be part of the issue, and I have not pulled the sub out yet to check. my subsonic filters are all the way down/off. I really am hoping it's just bad wiring and not a bad voice coil

I would tend to blame the amp more than tbe sub if all wiring checks out. Skar is known to be on the finicky side when abused (not enough power coming in). Another test to exculpate anything upstream of the amp is to connect your phone straight to the amp with a 3.5mm to RCA patch cable. Test with good bass songs to see if it hits like before without going into protect.

Okay I’m going to replace and check the ground connection before anything else because I’m thinking that’s the issue

Great news, my ground connection was loose and I replaced it and it sounds just like before. Thank you for the help!
Ahem, just a little something before you leave...

Some don't have that option. But it does have an internal amplifier otherwise it wouldn't put out the 21x4 it claims to. Check the eq settings...

i did end up getting the amp and subs you suggested, looking forward to hearing what it sounds like as soon as the stuff gets here and the weather...

They are. But, after using sort of them, i think best way is to root phone and do some real system modifications with Viper.
